Swimming Pools

Most cruise ships today have an outdoor swimming pool and a limited number of ships have an indoor swimming pool. Pools are mainly operated during daylight hours and are usually drained and/or covered in the evening for maintenance and safety reasons. Most ship pools are unsupervised and without any lifeguards. The pool operating times will be listed in the daily program and will vary from one cruise ship to another. One should be aware that individual ships might use excessive amounts chlorine and other chemicals to assist in keeping the water clean. The excessive use of chemicals may cause skin irritation and cause discolouration of your swimming suit.
