Guests looking for a longer sailing adventure can take advantage of Star Clippers' four Grand Mediterranean Voyages in 2007. Departing in April, September and October, the 12- or 14-night itineraries are filled with a variety of destinations -- ranging from ancient capitals filled with endless mysteries to less-visited playgrounds lined with pristine beaches and awe-inspiring horizons.

Royal Clipper's 12-night cruise departing Oct. 20 sails from Rome Italy, to Lisbon, Portugal, and visits five different countries and ports that exude mystery, culture and romance. The 227-guest ship calls at Bonifacio, Corsica; Mahon, Menorca; Ibiza, Motril, and Cadiz Spain; Safi, Casablanca and Tangier, Morocco, and Portimao, Portugal. Advance-purchase cruise-only fares begin at $2,515 per person, double.

Star Clipper sails two distinctly different 12-night journeys that take the ship to six countries in the region. Departing on April 23, the Lisbon to Barcelona, Spain, cruise highlights the best of Iberia and Morocco. Ports of call include Portimao; Cadiz, Motril, Ibiza and Valencia, Spain; Tangier and Casablanca; Palma, Mallorca, and Mahon.

The port-intense Cannes to Athens cruise sets sail on Sept. 29 and visits an enticing menu of destinations throughout the western Mediterranean, including an evening sail past the still-active Stromboli Volcano. The 170-guest ship calls Calvi and Bonifacio, Corsica; Ponza, Sorrento and Lipari, Italy; Taormina, Sicily, and Katakolon, Yithion, Santorini and Mykonos, Greece. Advance-purchase cruise-only fares begin at $2,365 per person, double.

Marking the line's longest Mediterranean voyage of the season, Star Flyer sails a 14-night Athens to Malaga, Spain, cruise departing Sept. 29 that blends breathtaking ports and leisurely sea days to relax and rejuvenate. Guests will have time ashore in Palermo, Sicily, and Mykonos, Santorini, Yithion, Katakolon, Taormina, Palma, Ibiza and Motril. Advance-purchase cruise-only fares begin at $2,745 per person, double.

Early bookings were strong for Star Clippers' 2006 summer Mediterranean season, so guests are encouraged to reserve space early to avoid disappointment, save with Advance Purchase Discounts and ensure they get the cabin of their choice.

Star Clippers combines the pampered luxury of mega-yacht cruising with the exhilarating thrill of sailing aboard an authentic clipper ship. Guests rediscover what sailing was like during the glorious age of the tall ships while visiting intimate ports of call untouched by larger cruise ships.

The four- and five-masted clipper ships feature a relaxed yet elegant atmosphere. Passengers dress in resort-casual attire and dine in one unhurried, open seating. Whether unwinding in the bowsprit net while gazing at the sea below or climbing the mast for a panoramic view of the horizon, a unique sailing adventure awaits.
