Ocean Village injects glitz and glamour into its Caribbean season with the introduction of new Action Ashore options from the idyllic island of St Vincent. Day trips to the super-exclusive islands of Mustique and Bequia mean that passengers can taste the high life and enjoy a sun soaked tour of these latter-day paradises.

Ocean Village’s new ‘Escape to Mustique’ option offers a great insight into celebrity lifestyles - Mick Jagger and Tommy Hilfiger both have fabulous hillside villas on the island. After just an hour by motorboat, passengers arrive in time for lunch at the famous Basil’s Bar before having a free afternoon to explore this magical island under their own steam. Luxury properties, stylish eateries and small but extremely exclusive boutiques are just some of the highlights of the island and the beautiful Macaroni Beach is a must for sun worshippers.   For the more adventurous, there’s also the option of sailing among the beautiful Grenadine islands to Mustique by skippered yacht.

For those who prefer to sit back, relax and let the crew do the work, we’ve a new ‘Bequia Break’ option, sailing by catamaran to this ‘Island of the Clouds’.  Passengers can simply step ashore and explore this small but perfectly formed paradise by foot – Admiralty Bay and Princess Margaret Beach offer glittering turquoise blue waters and the perfect opportunity to top up that tan!

Also new this season is an aerial tram eco tour in St Lucia. Sky riding through the lush greenery of the rainforest canopy, passengers will get a bird’s eye view of St Lucia’s rainforest, with a tour guide on hand to point out natural highlights on route. Ocean Village is also introducing a new sport fishing option in St Lucia, with three hours at sea in which to keep watch for the whales and dolphins which frequent these waters while trying to hook Barracuda and Marlin.

For landlubbers, Ocean Village has also introduced new mountain biking options in St Kitts and St Vincent as well as more river tubing options in Dominica.

Gill Haynes, Head of Marketing at Ocean Village comments ‘Ocean Village prides itself on offering passengers new and exciting experiences that make a holiday special. This year we’re introducing a new spectrum of Caribbean options, from island hopping trips to the most exclusive Caribbean hideaways to aerial tram adventures and sport fishing, plus our signature mountain biking tours and fun river tubing trips. Our Action Ashore programme offers something for every taste and pace, whether it’s adrenaline pumping activities you enjoy or just kicking back, relaxing and soaking up the sun.’
