Profile

Featuring small ship cruises & wilderness tours in Alaska's Glacier Bay & Inside Passage, plus Southeast Alaska adventure vacation packages.

As far back a s 1967, Glacier Bay Cruise line has been a leader in adventure travel, introducing visitors to Glacier Bay National Park. The company has quickly become the leader in small ship adventure cruising and is the only cruise line to offer three distinct levels of adventure aboard what it affectionately calls its "SUVs" or Sport Utility Vessels: "low" level, which emphasizes scenic cruising, small ports, and opportunities for viewing wildlife; "high" level, which indicates an almost-daily dose of off vessel activities such as sea kayaking, remote island exploration or forest hikes; and "medium" level, which combines the two, with ports of call and sea kayaking. Currently, Glacier Bay Cruise line offers 6 to 9-night cruises between May and September featuring Alaska's Inside Passage.

Beginning this April, the company will offer new 7-night adventure cruises featuring Oregon's Columbia, Willamette and Snake Rivers, with more kayaking than any other cruise company, plus hiking, optional mountain biking and whitewater rafting and an included jet boat ride into Hell's Canyon. Cruises depart in April and May or September and October.
