easyCruise

Website: easyCruise.com

Profile

easyCruise is apart of the easyGroup and will provide "City-hopping by sea" or a "floating hotel" to enjoy your holidays in more than one exciting destination. easyCruise will bring unprecedented value to the Mediterranean and will be creating a whole new cruise market among the 20 to 40 year olds. easyCruise will adopt all of the easyGroup principles by eliminating frills and unbundling the packages which currently exists in the cruise industry. In addition, the best prices will be available to customers who book at www.easyCruise.com on the basis of the earlier you book the less you pay. Peak periods will cost more than off-peak periods.

easyCruise will be launched in time for the Summer 2005 season with a ship capable of carrying 180 people. The former Renaissance 2 ship was purchase by easyCruise and is currently being refurbished and upgraded to easyCruise standards in Singapore.

easyCruise will un-bundle the traditional cruise package and offer rooms on board the ship on a night by night basis, in order for customers to cruise for as many or as few days and nights as they wish. They will be expected to make their own way to the ship, typically using the abundance of low cost flights, which serve the Mediterranean from many European cities. Sailing will be for no more than about 6 hours a day departing in the early hours of the morning and arriving at a new and exciting port every day by lunch time. Food and beverage will be available from the ship's restaurant and shop on a "pay as you go" basis so that passengers can purchase according to their appetite and budget. Although passengers will be given fully made up cabins, house keeping will be an optional extra.

With flexibility and attractive pricing easyCruise expects to appeal to a much wider customer base than existing cruise lines. easyCruise will be the best value method of visiting several of the most attractive western Mediterranean destinations in one go. Cabins will be in the same style as easyHotel room. Each cabin will have a shower unit, a lavatory and a washbasin. Each cabin will measure at least 90 square feet and contain at least one double bed. They will have the look and feel adopted by many of the current, fashionable minimalist hotels.
