Documentation
It is important that you have all the correct documentation before you leave home to join your cruise. Check with your travel agent or cruise line for the required documentation that is required for your particular cruise. If you need to apply any form of government issued identification do not wait until the last minute to apply for it. Most cruise line required that all nationalities have a valid passport. Ensure that all your documentation is securely packed in your hand luggage and is easily accessible when you require it for check in and security checks. Try not to mix your documentation up, but to keep it separated and in order of use. Passports and Visas
Cruise documents The cruise line will issue you with your final documentation upon final payment and will send them to your travel agent or directly to you two to four weeks prior to departure. Examine all your cruise documents for accuracy (correct cabin number, sailing date, and dining arrangements) and make sure that names are spelled correctly. If your name on the cruise line ticket does not match with the name on your passport, the cruise line is well within it’s right not to allow you to board the ship. If there is something wrong or you do not understand, ask your travel agent or the cruise line immediately. Airline documents Upon receipt of your airline tickets, examine them for accuracy (correct airline, departure and arrival cities, flight numbers and times) and make sure that names are spelled correctly. If your name on the airline ticket does not match with the name on your passport or an other form of government issued photo identification, the airline is well within it’s right not to allow you to travel. If there are any changes or corrections contact your travel agent or airline immediately and make the necessary changes as soon as possible. Do not wait until the day of departure. Confirmation vouchers The cruise line or your travel agents may issue you with a number confirmation vouchers for hotels, car rentals, transfers and limousine services, you should pack these in you hand luggage separately in order of use.
