More Than $100,000 In Prizes Available On Four Carnival ‘Winners Slot Tournament Cruises’ In 2006

Carnival Cruise Lines and the Ocean Players Club will host four "Winners Slot Tournament Cruises" in 2006, featuring more than $100,000 in cash and prizes. Three preliminary slot tournaments will be held on the Carnival Conquest’s March 5-12 voyage from Galveston, Carnival Pride’s May 14-21 cruise from Long Beach, Calif., and Carnival Legend’s Sept. 9-17 cruise from New York. A "Grand Final Event" tournament will take place on the Carnival Victory’s Nov. 12-19 voyage from Miami. The tournaments are open to guests age 18 and over. Tournament space is limited and booked guests are encouraged to enter prior to departure by completing the online registration form available at OceanPlayersClub.com. Entry fee for the first three tournaments is $50 per person and $250 for the final cruise and is payable on board. Prizes from each of the first three preliminary slot tournaments total more than $10,000 in cash and the top three winners from those tournaments also receive a complimentary stateroom and free entry for the finals held aboard the Carnival Victory. The winner of the grand final tournament will receive $25,000, as well as complimentary suite accommodations on a future Carnival sailing. "With more than $100,000 up for grabs, our ‘Winners Slot Tournament Cruises’ will be a thrilling event for our guests and offer an exciting opportunity for them to win some great cash and cruise prizes," said Bob Dickinson, Carnival president and CEO. The Carnival Conquest, Pride, Legend and Victory all offer an expansive casino, featuring more than 200 slot machines and a variety of table games, including blackjack, craps, roulette and poker. All tournament participants will receive an invitation to a private cocktail and awards reception during each cruise. Guests who pre-register for the tournament prior to the cruise will also receive a special Bon Voyage gift in their stateroom. In addition to fast-paced casino action, slot tournament participants enjoy a wide range of on-board amenities, including a variety of lounges, bars and entertainment venues, formal and casual dining options, a state-of-the-art health and fitness center and four swimming pools. The Ocean Players Club offers something for every level of player, from awards for playing slots to establishing credit lines and betting limits for high rollers. Players can earn points at the slots toward instant cash rewards, complimentary beverages, free gifts, and future cruise benefits.
